Big Sky Wellness incorporates techniques that honor the mind-body connection for holistic well-being.

Healing can happen in many ways. Martina and Jennifer are both licensed therapists and certified yoga teachers, offering mindful, trauma-informed yoga practices that support emotional and physical wellbeing. Whether you are new to yoga or returning to your mat, our goal is to create a space where movement, breath, and mental health care come together.

Learn more about BSW yoga:

Martina discovered yoga during graduate school while navigating a season of significant stress and anxiety. From the first moments of her first class, she knew the practice offered something her nervous system had been deeply craving. What began as a personal refuge soon became a lifelong practice that has supported her through both life’s most difficult seasons and its most meaningful celebrations. Yoga has helped Martina cultivate steadiness, presence, and compassion—qualities that continue to guide how she cares for herself and shows up for others. The philosophy and ethics of yoga deeply inform both her personal life and professional work, shaping her approach to teaching and holding space with mindfulness, respect, and intention.

Martina is a firm believer in the profound connection between mind and body. Through breath, movement, and mindfulness, she aims to harmonize these elements, fostering a sense of balance that extends far beyond Big Sky’s office. Your work together will be deeply experiential, not simply an academic study of coping skills. Yoga is a powerful tool for self-discovery and we can incorporate practices that align with your unique needs, promoting flexibility and emotional resilience. Yoga can foster mental clarity and calmness, increase body awareness, address chronic stress patterns, center attention, and relax the mind - all highly beneficial when working toward therapeutic goals.

Feeling empowered in your own body shouldn't be a luxury; it should be the baseline. That's the experience Jennifer brings to every yoga class she teaches, especially when it comes to understanding and supporting your body from the inside out. Her classes are tailor-made with practical tools you can take with you off the mat and into everyday life. Students can expect to learn how to connect with and support their pelvic floor, find their voice, strengthen their bodies, and relax deeply.

With a firm understanding of biomechanics and how it relates to yoga practice, Jennifer creates accessible classes that combine the best of mobility, strength, and breathwork. Her current offering, Yoga for Pelvic Floor, is held at Big Sky Wellness in a warm, intimate setting limited to just 8 participants. This class is designed to help women at any stage of life (pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, or simply seeking a deeper mind-body connection) learn how the pelvic floor moves, functions, strengthens, and releases. Please note that while Jennifer is a licensed therapist at Big Sky Wellness, her role in this class is exclusively as a yoga teacher, and these sessions are not a substitute for therapy.

Jennifer's own motherhood journey — navigating pregnancy during the COVID-19 pandemic, a rocky postpartum experience, and the birth of her second child in 2023 — gave her firsthand insight into how isolating and physically demanding these seasons of life can be. Yoga was a lifeline throughout, and that personal experience is woven into everything she teaches. She is passionate about creating a safe, informed, and compassionate space where women feel seen, heard, and cared for.

Important to note - Sure, a physical yoga practice can complement your therapy goals, however, yoga is not an hour here or there spent on our mat. Yoga is a spiritual path that has been lovingly engaged with and passed on for thousands of years. The 8 limb path provides the structure for my personal and professional values, as the teachings encourage truth, self-exploration, and service.

Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.
